Your neighbor and our brother Glenn C. Haynes is being honored for his 70 years of service in the Masonic Lodge (1942 – 2012). Bring your family and camera, and come visit our Masonic family for this special event open to the public. The Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Maryland will be presenting, and Charles Kauffman, Mayor of Boonsboro, will be presenting Br. Haynes with the key to the city and will proclaim April 3rd Glenn Haynes Day.

About the Antietam Lodge

We were established in 1896 under a charter from the Grand Lodge of Maryland and Grand Master Shyrock. This blue lodge was named in honor of the bloodiest single day battle in American military history, where on September 17th of 1862, the neighboring battlefield was witness to more than 23,000 causalities from the North, the South, and Freemasonry.

A Brotherly Tribute

Our Lodge stands as a tribute to those Brothers who gave their last full measure of devotion to their cause. Our first Worshipful Master, Frisby Doub grew up on that Battlefield and knew the horrors that war had brought to the tranquil landscape of western Maryland.
